The Challenge

Reduce the learning curve.

Our Goal

Develop a new, visually appealing, flexible, user-friendly, efficient, and accurate graphical interface for information consultation.

The existing program is excessively technical, and staff turnover poses challenges for our clients.

Discovery

Understanding.

Strengths

  • Timely and almost real-time information updates.
  • Robustness demonstrated through a comprehensive range of functionalities.
  • Effectiveness in performance.
  • The platform is both robust and flexible.
  • Regional leadership.

Areas of Improvement

  • Absence of help options, guides, or tooltips.
  • Inefficiencies in the current navigation.
  • Presence of irrelevant information for the user.
  • Fields containing discontinued information.
  • Challenges in locating specific information.

Information Architecture

Categorizing Information.

The information architecture (IA) of a website is crucial as it determines how information is organized, structured, and presented, directly influencing user experience.

As websites expand, maintaining a clear and simple IA becomes challenging. Balancing complexity while ensuring user-friendly navigation is crucial.

‍Updating or adding new content may require IA adjustments, posing challenges in maintaining consistency and user familiarity.

User Centric Design

The Essence.

User-centric design is a significant asset in creating products and experiences that truly resonate. By prioritizing the needs, preferences, and behaviors of users, this approach ensures a seamless and enjoyable interaction.

Personas and User Journey Maps

Card Sorting

Card sorting is a valuable UX research method used to understand how users categorize and organize information.

Userflows

A technical representation.

A user flow is a visual representation of the path a user takes as they navigate through a product or service.

It outlines the sequence of steps and interactions, providing a holistic view of the user's journey from entry to completion, understanding the user experience, identifying potential bottlenecks, and refining the design to optimize usability and satisfaction.

Design System

Google Material Design.

By integrating the design system seamlessly into the development workflow, there's a reduction in ambiguity and a more efficient translation of design concepts into code.

Consequently, the development phase benefits from increased speed, accuracy, and scalability, ultimately resulting in a more efficient and cohesive end product.

This early alignment significantly accelerates the development phase as it offers developers a ready-made set of design assets and guidelines to work with.
